PLAYSTATION Y LEGO INVIERTEN MIL MILLONES DE DÓLARES CADA UNO EN EPIC GAMES
Epic Games ha anunciado una nueva ronda de financiamiento de dos mil millones de dólares para continuar su proyecto del metaverso y los grandes inversores han sido PlayStation y Lego.
De acuerdo con la compañía, Sony Group Corporation, así como KIRKBI, la compañía de inversiones y de propiedad familiar detrás de The LEGO Group, han aportado mil millones de dólares cada uno.
“Las tres compañías valoran mucho tanto a los creadores como a los jugadores, y su objetivo es crear un nuevo entretenimiento social que explore la conexión entre los mundos digital y físico”, señala la empresa. “Epic Games continúa teniendo solo una clase de acciones comunes en circulación y sigue bajo el control de su director ejecutivo y fundador, Tim Sweeney”.
