Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater no es solo un remake gráfico del clásico Metal Gear Solid 3. Durante el Konami Digital Showcase, la compañía japonesa ha anunciado un nuevo modo multijugador online. Se trata de Fox Hunt, una modalidad “completamente original’ que nada tiene que ver con Metal Gear Online, que se lanzó junto a la versión Substance del clásico.
Fox Hunt está dirigido por Yu Sahara, un veterano de la saga que ha trabajado en títulos como Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes o The Phantom Pain.
Por qué no ha vuelto Metal Gear Online
“Agradecemos a los fans de Metal Gear Online que siempre han querido ver un regreso [de este juego], pero el panorama de los títulos multijugador ha cambiado mucho desde MGO”, ha explicado Sahara.
“Fue necesario reflexionar mucho para pensar cómo debería ser el nuevo modo online. Nos basamos en los elementos icónicos de sigilo y supervivencia de la saga Metal Gear, así que vamos a llevar el camuflaje y el escondite a un nuevo nivel”, ha revelado.
Según el desarrollador, han trabajado con la intención de intentar crear algo “único”, que sea algo más que otro juego de tiroteos. Se han valido de la tensión de mantenerse escondidos y de buscar al enemigo para diseñar una experiencia inédita dentro de la saga.
